At the January 2018 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington DC, Dr. Laetitia Dablanc and co-authors Takanori Sakai (main author), Adrien Beziat and Adeline Heitz were recognized for their research paper, Testing the Freight Landscape Concept for Paris.
Dr. Dablanc described it as a very collective paper and very MetroFreight in nature. Takanori Sakai, Research Associate, Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology; Adrien Beziat, ENTPE/LAET (former Metrofreight PhD student); Adeline Heitz, Lab Urba (former Metrofreight PhD student); and Laetitia Dablanc, Director of Research at the French Institute of Transport, IFSTTAR and leader of Metrofreight team in Paris, worked on the research inspired by and based on USC Professor Genevieve Giuliano's freight landscape methodology. The team used data from the Paris urban freight survey and other MetroFreight collected data, and took advantage of Takanori's visit to IFSTTAR, an educational exchange trip funded by the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF).
Takanori presented the paper during the session, Best Papers in Urban Freight Transportation Research: See Whats Possible on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
