Archived Data Management System (ADMS)
The increasing availability of real-time multi-modal transportation system data provides new opportunities for developing tools and strategies to improve the efficiency and productivity of urban transportation systems. The ADMS project has been funded by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). The research has two objectives: 1) develop an historical archive of real-time data from RIITS (Regional Integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems) and other sources, and 2) demonstrate how the archive can be used for transportation planning, operations, and management. The project is a multi-disciplinary collaboration led by Dr. Genevieve Giuliano, Director of the METRANS Transportation Center at the University of Southern California (USC), and Cyrus Shahabi, Department of Computer Science, with the USC Integrated Media System Center, Delcan (a Parsons company), and Sarakki Associates Inc. as partners.
