Bike Share in the Sacramento Region: Lessons Learned and What's Next

Friday, March 4th, 2022

1:40 PM (Pacific)

Join us for this ITS-Davis Seminar where you’ll hear from Sabrina Bradbury, SACOG Senior Program Manager, about the latest on the region’s bike share program and efforts to attract and manage both bike share and scooter share in communities around the region. Prior to the pandemic, the Bike Share program in Davis, West Sacramento and the City of Sacramento was JUMP’s second top market globally in number of total trips. Hear about lessons learned and how public investments in ‘shared micromobility’ can yield a high return in civic amenities, public health, reduced congestion, and environmental quality. She will share how communities are partnering with private sector vendors and startups to create equitable and financially sustainable shared micromobility systems.

Sabrina Bradbury manages the Regional Bike Share project for the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, coordinating the work of project partners to ensure micromobility is a reliable and equitable transportation option in urban, suburban, and rural areas of the region. She has over 14 years of experience encouraging travel behavior change and, under her leadership, Transportation Demand Management (TDM) projects and programs have funded innovative and cost-effective ways to reduce car trips in the Sacramento region.
