After a breif hiatus, the METRANS Transportation Consortium and Pacific Southwest Region UTC is proud to announce the return of the PSR Annual Congress in 2027. The Congress will be hosted by Northern Arizona University and will take place March 14-16, 2027. 

Established in 2016, the Pacific Southwest Region UTC conducts a multidisciplinary program of research, education, workforce development, and technology transfer aimed at improving the resiliency of transportation systems and the mobility of people and goods throughout the region. The PSR Annual Congress provides an opportunity for students, faculty, researchers, and practicioners across the region to showcase thier work and gain valubale insights from their peers through short presentations, poster sessions, and panel discussions. 

The 2025 PSR Annual Congress was hosted by the University of California, Berkely and garnered around 200 students, faculty members, researchers, and industry associates over the two-day event. Highlights of the conference were a keynote session featuring CalSTA Secretary Toks Omishakin, a conversation with Nevada DOT Research Director Lucy Koury, an Oral History of Tribal Transportation and Mobility in San Diego County from California State University Long Beach Director of American Indian Studies Theresa Gregor, and the Presentation of Student of the Year Awards.
