METRANS Launches Spring 2016 Lunch with a Practitioner Series

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

We are pleased to release our Spring Lunch with a Practitioner Series lineup.  The Lunch with Practitioner series was launched in Spring 2015 with the goal of providing a forum for students to meet and learn from practitioners throughout the transportation industry, from recent graduates through senior professionals, from planning and engineering, and from both the the public and private sectors. Our past events have featured speakers with backgrounds in construction management, urban planning, and transportation engineering, just to name a few. To check out the photo album for our past events, please visit here.

This semester, we kick off the series with Mr. John Lower, Wednesday, February 17 at noon. As a professional transportation planner, Mr. Lower has substantial experience in intelligent transportation systems management & operations, multimodal planning, and community participation.

Upcoming speakers include Steven Mater from Metro, Michael Lin from Milken Institute, and Grace Crunican from the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit , Dana C. Hook from CDM Smith, and LaVerne Francis Reid retired from the Federal Aviation Administration who are the authors of a newly published book on women in the transportation industry.
